The Bryant Preferred UV Germicidal Lamp is the perfect addition to today's tightly constructed, highly energy efficient homes. These homes are built to seal in heated or cooled air for maximum economy. Unfortunately, they also do a great job of trapping mold, bacteria, viruses, fungi, dust and other irritants. Filters help control some of these pollutants, but the UV Lamp actually eliminates many of them, leaving your home's air cleaner and fresher.

Features

Indoor pollutants can affect you, your home and your comfort system. Airborne irritants are simply a fact of life. Molds can cause flare-ups of allergy symptoms, and in some cases, trigger asthma attacks. Bacteria, viruses and germs also can reside in the air you breathe every day. These airborne pollutants can effect your home comfort equipment, too. Allowed to circulate through your home and your system, these and other particles can build up on the indoor coil, inhibiting airflow and reducing heating and cooling efficiency.

UV Light Enhances Filter Effectiveness.

Air cleaners and filters can do a great job trapping airborne particles. The Bryant UV Lamp goes one step further, using ultraviolet light to actually destroy them by penetrating down to the DNA.

Mounted inside your system near the indoor coil, small lamps direct UV light to the source of potential fungal and microbial growth. Once activated, the UV Light goes to work right away, cleaning the indoor coil. When combined with a Bryant high efficiency air cleaner, you can enjoy substantial improvements to the quality of your indoor air.

Trusted Reliability.

Using ultraviolet light for cleaning/sanitizing is not a totally new idea. In fact, ultraviolet light has been used for years as a sterilization agent in medical food processing applications. The Unico System outperforms conventional heating and cooling systems by utilizing a patented high velocity system of air. Instead of typical units which operate at 500-600 feet per minute at the outlet, the Unico System operates at 2,000 feet per minute. But while you'll feel the comfort in our system, you won't hear it. The air handler is designed to isolate noise and vibration. In addition, our uniquely designed supply tubes are lined with sound-dampening, spun-bond nylon, providing you with quiet comfort.

Little or No Remodeling Needed

The Unico System fits where other conventional cooling and heating systems can't - with little or no remodeling required! The modular air handlers and coils can be installed easily into attics, ceilings, crawlspaces and closets. The flexible mini-ducts can be routed through existing ceiling, floor and wall cavities, eliminating the need for unsightly and noisy metal ductwork.

Draft-Free, Even Temperatures Throughout Any Room

The Unico System works on the principle of aspiration. Unlike conventional systems which often leave hot and cold spots as well as drafts throughout the home or building, Unico's streams of air enter a room and gently mix with the room's existing air currents. From floor to ceiling, air temperatures are even and drafts are eliminated.

Removes 30% More Moisture

The Unico System provides an excellent degree of comfort. Air in the Unico System is passed directly over the evaporator coils at a colder temperature - 28° to 30°f colder for the Unico System compared to 15° to 17°f for conventional systems. With this unique difference, the Unico System removes 30% more moisture in the cooling mode than conventional systems. You'll enjoy fresh, pure air and feel more comfortable, even in areas of the country with high humidity.

Matches Any Décor

Outlets in the Unico System are small and subtle. You can choose to install the outlets in the ceilings, walls or floors. To allow you to choose a look that best suits your decorating tastes, four outlet styles are available. You can also choose a wooden finish or plastic finish - and choose to paint or stain the outlet to match the coloring of your room. Once installed, the outlets blend into any décor.

Three System Sizes

So that you'll achieve the best performance possible for your home or building, the Unico System is available in three sizes.

Unico Model 1218	Provides 1 to 1 1/2 nominal tons of cooling capacity.
Model 2436	Requires a minimum of 10 outlets and is adaptable from 2 to 3 nominal tons.
Model 4860	Requires a minimum of 18 outlets and is adaptable from 3 1/2 to 5 nominal tons.
